After more than 6 years of continuous live streaming weather and webcam, these services have gone offline for an extended test rest to judge the cost/benefit situation. It will sure cut back on a ton of PC usage. Every time the weather station creates a new graphic to be served (every hour, on the hour), the system loses all keyboard input. I won't miss that!

Home Page Concordance

I took a shot at doing a sort of "concordance" on my home page, which shows links to the other sections of the website in font sizes which are based on the relative importance of the sections. I copied the concept from Amazon.com which does a concordance based on the frequency of the top 100 words used in the book.

This personal concordance turned into an interesting exercise. Instead of trying to build the concordance based on actual word count, I did it based on how I would like it to be. It is somewhat like writing your own eulogy, describing the life you would like to live, and then using it as a guide to living that way.
